KATHMANDU, AUGUST 2

Nepal experienced a significant increase in foreign tourist arrivals during the first seven months of 2024, according to the Nepal Tourism Board.

A total of 647,615 foreign tourists visited Nepal from January to July 2024. This marks a 21.22 percent increase compared to the 534,207 tourists who visited during the same period last year.

The monthly breakdown shows that in January, 79,100 foreign tourists entered Nepal.

The numbers rose to 97,426 in February and peaked at 128,167 in March. In April, the country received 111,376 tourists, followed by 90,211 in May and 76,736 in June.

July saw the arrival of 64,599 tourists.
