6.5kg marijuana seized, farms destroyed in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR: Bhojpur District Police raided a house and arrested a woman along with over six kilograms of Marijuana from Bhojpur Municipality-10 of the district on Wednesday.

The arrestee has been identified as local Komal Shova Rai (64).

Acting on a special tip-off, a team deployed under the command of Chief at Bhojpur District Police Office (DPO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Keshav Kumar Thebe raided the house belonging to Rai at Dharatar and seized 6.5 kilograms of the cannabis hidden inside two sacks.

Rai has been kept in the custody of DPO for further investigation, informed police.

Meanwhile, police have also destroyed marijuana planted within two maize farms belonging to Rai and another local Ram Kumar Rai (45), according to DSP Thebe.
