7 injured in Pokhara road accident

POKHARA: As many as seven persons sustained injuries after a tipper collided with a car and a jeep in Pokhara Metropolitan City-32 of Kaski district on Saturday.

According to Kaski District Police Office, the incident occurred when the tipper (Ga 1 Kha 7847) en route to Tanahun from Pokhara rammed into the car (Ga 2 Cha 5469). The car then lost control and collided with the parked jeep (Ba 5 Cha 8401) at Kotre Bridge, injuring seven from both car and jeep.

Critically injured car driver Yubaraj Bhttarai (29) of Pokhara-15 is undergoing treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara.

Similarly, other injured have been identified as the car passenger Pratima Pokhrel (27) of Putali Bazaar Municipality-7 of Syangja district and jeep passengers Lakshmi Adhikari (41), Yubaraj Adhikari (40) both of Bagar in Pokhara-1, Radha Subedi (44) of Pokhara-7, Devi Koirala (47) of Pokhra-1, and Sita Devi Timilsina (40) of Amarsingh Chowk in Pokhara-10, informed police. They are receiving treatment at Gandaki Medical Hospital, Pokhara.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
