7-year-old Saptari girl abducted, rescued from India
RAJBIRAJ: A seven-year-old girl has been rescued from an alleged kidnapper and she has returned to own family, said police.
The daughter of Sanju Mandel, Santoshi, from Nargho-6 of Saptari district was missing from 4 pm on Wednesday.
As soon as police received the information, a team of security personnel was mobilised to rescue the girl.
Consequently, the plain-clothes team under the command of SP Bhim Prasad Dhakal rescued the little girl from bordering Kariyaut village of Madhubani district in Bihar before the dawn today, said SP Dhakal.
Meanwhile, police identified a 24-year-old youth as the kidnapping suspect. Police said he was a familiar face to the family.
However, the suspect is on the run and police have launched a manhunt after him.
