8-party alliance lacking in unity, says Rana

Kathmandu, June 11:

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) today said people have started losing hope in the eight-party alliance because of persisting misunderstanding among themselves. “What people want from the eight party-alliance is ‘genuine understanding’, not misunderstanding,” RPP Chairman Pashupati SJB Rana said at the Reporters’ Club today.

Rana said the eight-party alliance and the government now should focus on improving the law and order situation, if the government was really serious on holding the constituent assembly elections in December.

“The government must improve the law and order situation to ensure that elections are conducted in a free and fearless manner,” he said, adding: “If the government cannot improve the law and order situation, CA polls cannot be held even in December.”

Rana suggested the eight-party alliance not to amend the interim constitution in

“installments.”
