PHALEBAS, PARBAT: Around 800 locals of Parbat have undergone heart checkups at free health camps that run in different places in the district.

A total of 20 heart specialists led by Dr Anil Bhattarai attended to the heart patients in the two-day camp.

“Most of the patients were found to be suffering from high blood pressure, and obesity,” said Dr Bhatarai, adding that regular exercise is helpful in controlling heart disease risks. Free medicines were also handed out.

The Nepali Congress central member and lawmaker Arjun Prasad Joshi had inaugurated the camp.
