9 more dengue patients diagnosed in Banke, Bardiya

KATHMANDU: Seven new dengue patients were recently diagnosed in Banke and two more in Bardiya, increasing the number of the dengue cases to 594 as of now in the current fiscal year.

Although the infection is reported to have claimed the lives of three patients in Banke, it has not been confirmed yet, according to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division.

Director at the Division Dr Bhim Acharya assured that the dengue patients would receive treatment during the festival time too.

"The medicines and medical persons have already been deployed in the dengue-hit districts to provide medical assistance to the patients," he said.
