INARUWA: A person died  and another sustained injuries after the motorcycle they were riding on was rammed by a truck  in Bhokraha Rural Municipality-4 of Sunsari district on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Kumar Budhathoki of Bhokhraha Rural Municipality-1 and injured as Dilli Budhathoki of the locality, informed police.

The incident occurred when the truck bearing the Indian registration number plate (PB 05 Y 9929) headed to the western direction, rammed the motorcycle (Ko 11 Pa 1695) headed in the same direction, killing motorcyclist and injuring the pillion rider yesterday evening, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narayan Prasad Chimariya, at the Sunsari District Police Office.

The injured was rushed to the Biratnagar-based Neuro Hospital where he is undergoing treatment, informed police

The body has been sent to the District Hospital, Inaruwa for postmortem, and the search is on for the vehicle involved in the accident, said District Police Office, Sunsari.
