AAO sans chief for five months

BHOJPUR: The Dingla based Area Administration Office in the northern part of Bhojpur district is without its chief for the last five months.

According to a local, Ganesh Gurung, the office is without its chief, ever since Thir Bahadur Nepali, who was in-charge of the office, was arrested on the charge of having an illicit relationship with a woman five months ago. The Home Ministry had transferred Nepali to Morang District Administration Office.

Lalit Ghimire, nayabsubba is running the office, which looks after administrative affairs of 14 VDCs in the northern part of the district.

“The locals have not been able to get citizenship certificates and other necessary services from the office in the absence of its chief,” Ghimire said.

Prem Prasad Bhattarai, CDO, Bhojpur, said, “Though we urged the Home Ministry to send an administrative officer, the office is yet to get its chief.”
