Abducted girls return
Jamuniya (Sarlahi), April 5:
Eleven girl workers of Saroj Brick factory situated at Jamuniya VDC-5, who were abducted by armed dacoits, established contact with their kith and kin this morning.
The girls returned to the factory today after escaping from the dacoits’ captivity last night.
They had taken shelter at Aurahi village development committee last night.
Those who managed to flee from dacoits are Laxmi Kumari Chaudhari, 10; Niru Kumari Chaudhari, 13; Kalyan Devi Chaudhari, 25; Sirjana Kumari Chaudhari, 10; Binita Chaudhari, 13; Gyani Kumari Chaudhari, 20; Janaki Kumari Chaudhari; Pabita Kumari Chaudhari, 10; Sanjul Kumari Chaudhari, 9; Samjhana Kumari Chaudhari, 7, and Sima Kumari Chaudhari of Jajdi VDC-4, Siswa Tole.
Binita said they managed to escape while the dacoits were wrangling among themselves.
A guardian of a worker, Nanda Lal Chaudhari, said they would not return to work until the situation is “favourable”.
