BANEPA: An absconding man who was convicted of banking fraud in May 2014 was arrested from Kavrepalanchok district on Monday.

Shyam Krishna Khatri (45) of Banepa Municipality -10 was arrested from Budol of Banepa Municipality-11 today.

He has been sent him to the Dhulikhel-based District Prison, according to the District Police Office.

Convicting him of fraud on May 1, 2014, Patan Appellate Court had slapped a three-year sentence on Khatri and a penalty of Rs 82.38 million on May 1, 2014.
