LAHAN: An absconding suspect, who had set off an improvised pressure cooker bomb in the District Development Committee premises, was arrested from Siraha district on Sunday.

Responding to a special tip-off, a police team from the Siraha District Police Office arrested Bilachyan Yadav (26) of Hakpara VDC–6.

Yadav has been charged of detonating a bomb and possessing lethal arms and ammunition.

According to DSP Ek Narayan Koirala, spokesperson of the DPO, Yadav was affiliated to the then Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Rajan Group) and was responsible in setting off the bomb in the compound in 2011.

Yadav was arrested while he was hiding in his own house.
