KHOTANG: A woman, who was absconding after being convicted on murder case, has been arrested after 13 years.

The detainee has been identified as Parimaya Rai of Rajapani-7 of Khotang district.

A team deployed from the District Police Office, Khotang, under the command of Inspector Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary nabbed Rai from her house, SP Bidhyananda Majhi informed.

Rai along with five others had murdered Nawaraj Rayamajhi of Anptar-9 of Udayapur on September 18, 20012.

The District Court had sentenced Rai to 10 years in prison for murdering Rayamajhi.

She has been kept at the custody of District Police Office.

Police said that Rai will be produced before the District Court after the Dashain festival as the court has already been closed for the festive holidays.
