Acceptable statute needed: Rijal

Minister for Information and Communications Minendra Rijal on Friday called for drafting a constitution, which would be acceptable to all Nepali people.
Inaugurating the Bolbam Dham Jalarpan and Shrawani fair at Sainamaina municipality-5 of Rupandehi,
Minister Rijal said the government was serious about drafting a constitution that reflects the people’s aspirations.
According to him, the constitution will not advocate the rights of any particular group or religion. For peace and stability in the country, the constitution is a prominent need, he added.
The Bolbam Dham walkathon, which started on the day of Guru Purnima, will continue till August 29, the day of Rakshya Bandhan (Janai Purnima), said Bolbam Dham Chairman Ramwali Chaudhary.
Rijal also addressed a gathering of party activists in Paroha. He said the major parties were holding talks with all the sides dissatisfied with the preliminary draft of the ‘Constitution of Nepal- 2015’.
