Kathmandu, May 19:

The Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) has postponed the annual examination of Accountancy of the eleventh grade scheduled for Friday.

Though sources said the exam was postponed because of leaking out of question paper before the examination, the HSEB has cited ‘technical reasons’ for the same. An examinee, Santosh Bastakoti, of the Kathmandu Institute of Science and Technology said he had suspected that the question paper had been leaked out after one of his friends said yesterday that the questions were tougher this year.

“My friend told me that his tuition teacher revealed questions covering some 38 marks but he refused to give me questions so that I would not get more marks,” Bastakoti said. He said the issue of questions being leaked out had spread like a wild fire among the plus two students.

According to the HSEB, the postponed examination for Accountancy will be held on June 5, Sunday.
