DHANGADHI: Police have confiscated an additional 5.6 kilograms of gold in Kanchanpur district.

The gold was recovered past midnight yesterday in Shuklaphanta Municipality-11 from the residence of Laxman Tiruwa, who had hidden 18 kgs of the yellow metal at his in-laws' house in Punarbas Municipality, according to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur.

The gold was found hidden inside a pit in the animal shed at Tiruwa's residence, informed Chief at Kanchanpur DPO, Superintendent of Police Kuber Kadayat.
