Three houses gutted

ITAHARI: Property worth Rs 1.5 million was gutted when firecrackers exploded and burnt three houses in Narsingh VDC in Sunsari on Sunday morning. Three houses, a shop and a godown of Jagat Narayan Yadav of Ward No 4 were gutted in a fire. The fire also gutted Rs 18,000 in cash. — HNS

Maoists arrest ‘killer’

Sindhupalchowk: Moaists have seized Man Bahadur Tamang of Dolalghat-3, Kavre, on the charge of murdering his wife, 42-year-old Naple Tamang, on Tuesday and throwing her body into the Indravati river. Locals said Man Bahadur’s second wife Maili and the deceased Naple’s son Nirmal Tamang have also been caught by the Maoists. — HNS
