Educational experts sought discussions before introducing ‘nationalist education’ in schools and colleges.

Professor Dr Narendra Bahadur Maharjan, Dean at the Faculty of Education, said the concept of nationalist education is not clear and called for discussions at the national level with academicians during an interaction organised by the Free Students’ Union, Mahendra Ratna Campus, here today.

“We have neither been informed nor any suggestions were sought from the Faculty of Education which is responsible for producing teachers,” said Dr Maharjan.

“Adequate training should be provided to teachers for the effective implementation of the new educational system,” he said.
