NUWAKOT: Nepali Congress leader and former finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat on Saturday said the NC had seen no alternative to the present government. Mahat, who arrived Khanigaun to inaugurate a local cooperative, told mediapersons that it was ridiculous to talk of toppling a government having a majority and forming a government on the streets, pointing at the agitation of the UCPN-Maoist. He accused the Maoists of trying to take advantage by creating rifts in other parties. Meanwhile, NC spokesperson Arjun Narsingh KC accused the former rebels of imposing the Maoist supremacy in the name of civilian supremacy.
