DHADING: As many as 14 persons sustained injuries after a passenger bus (Ba 3 Kha 2731) rammed into a gabion fence in Nilakantha Municipality of Dhading District on Saturday.

According to police, the bus with 35 passengers on board was moving past speed limit and had hit a van before crashing into the fence injuring 14 persons. Of the injured, two are said to be in critical condition.

The accident occurred out of sheer negligence of the driver who sped beyond his control, one of the passengers said.

Police personnel immediately reached the scene following the accident and rescued the injured. The critically injured have been taken to Kathmandu while others were treated at District hospital, officials informed.
