Agriculture Minister diagnosed with dengue

KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Chakrapani Khanal, has been infected with dengue. Minister Khanal is currently admitted to Grande International Hospital in the capital city for treatment.

The Agriculture Minister had visited Nidan Hospital on Wednesday for a checkup as he was suffering from fever. Suspecting the symptoms of dengue, the hospital sent his blood sample to Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Teku, confirmed the Minister's press coordinator Bom Lal Giri.

Giri added, after Surkraraj Hospital confirmed that Minister Khanal was infected with dengue, he was admitted to Grande Hospital yesterday.

It has been learnt that the Minister's health is improving after the treatment began.
