Aid for Bhutanese refugees

KATHMANDU:

Germany has contributed 100,000 Euro towards humanitarian assistance and international protection for the Bhutanese refugees in Nepal, the UNHCR said on Monday. The contribution came in response to a proposal submitted by the UNHCR to the Government of Germany in August, it said.

“The sum of 70,000 Euros will be used for shelter, food, water and sanitation and 30,000 Euro for international protection, monitoring and coordination,” said Abraham Abraham, the UNHCR representative in Nepal.
