All ballot boxes with collected votes brought to Panchthar's Phidim

PHIDIM: All the ballot boxes with votes collected from all polling centres and stations in Panchthar district have been brought to Phidim, the district headquarters.

In the district with seven rural municipalities and only one municipility, the ballot boxes with votes collected from 100 polling centres and 165 polling stations were brought to Phidim this morning, according to Chief District Officer (CDO) Laxmi Devi Homagain.

The ballot boxes have been stored at the Panchthar Community Library and the meeting rooms of the staffers on the premises of the District Coordination Committee with tightened security.

The Office of the Chief Returning Officer sealed the store after holding an all-party meeting. The meeting decided to start the counting of votes on December 7 after second phase of parliamentary and provincial elections concludes.
