Alliance forged to protect democracy, says Thapa

HETAUDA: Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Kamal Thapa today argued that the battle of the democratic alliance was for the protection of democracy in the country.

Addressing an election campaign in Hetauda on Tuesday, Thapa, who is also the Chair of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, clarified that the democratic alliance was forged for the sake of democracy at a time when it was in peril.

He claimed that he had always been for development throughout his five decades political career. He argued that the left alliance could not contribute to the country’s development as it didn’t have democratic mind-set. He also claimed that Makawanpur’s development was his first priority. “No matter, I win or lose, development of Makawanpur district is always my concern.”
