KATHMANDU: Police informed that they have arrested two Indian nationals in possession of a firearm from Rautahat on Tuesday.

The suspects have been identified as Ranjan Kumar (27) and Jalandhar Sah (24) of Motihari district in Bihar of India, who were riding on an Indian motorcycle (DL3 AX9659) carrying illegal arms.

Police have seized a pistol with a magazine, three bullets and an iron punch.

Meanwhile, the Tadipul Police Post team in Nuwakot, during a patrol, recovered an unaccounted-for rifle from a brook at Tigaun, Belkot- 5 of the district on Tuesday.

The local police are carrying out further investigation.
