Six armed police personnel, including ASI at Fattepur Police Post Prem Bahadur Adhikary, four Nepal Police personnel and four protesters were injured in the melee, the police said.

The incident occurred following a dispute between Yubaraj Khanal, a teacher at the school for seven years and the school administration. Khanal is also the investor and full time teacher of another local school, Mother Memorial Higher Secondary School.

He was accused of enrolling students in Mother Memorial Students instead of Bairagi Janata Higher Secondary School. "We were compelled to sack him after he ignored our repeated requests to stop the unethical practice," said Mukhilal Chaudhary, chairman of School Management Committee. An all-party meeting had been called to settle the row this morning.

The meeting turned into a battleground after Khanal and his supporters threatened to take forceful action if he was sacked, headmaster of the school Dineshwor Yadav said.

Following the dispute between Khanal supporters and the guardians, police arrived on the scene to control the situation. Chaudhary said Khanal was sacked for disobedience and not mending his ways despite warnings.

However, Khanal accuses the school management of forcing him to resign from the job.
