Dhulikhel: Transport services along the Araniko Highway that had been halted for past six days resumed on Sunday. Locals had brought transport services to a complete halt after a passenger bus struck to death to two persons riding in a motorcycle in Chehere of Sindhupalchock district. One was injured in the incident.

The vehicular movement resumed following an agreement between the relatives of the victims, Araniko Transport Service Committee and the representatives of district administration.

According to Kavre District Administration Officer, Netra Prasad Neupane, the transport entrepreneurs have agreed to provide Rs 3 lakh compensation to the families of the victims and bear all expenses for treatment of the injured.
