PHIDIM:The district chapter of Nepal Teachers’ Union flayed the attack on Rup Narayan Jabegu, chairman of the Panchthar chapter of the teachers’ union. A gang with khukuris and guns had tried to kill Jabegu in his residence at Yangnam-2 on Wednesday night. A press released issued by NC district vice-chairman Jaya Prasad Rijal on Friday stated that the attack was pre-planned. Jabegu had narrowly survived the attack as all the three bullets fired by the attacker missed him. NC has suspected the hands of UCPN-Maoist cadres in the attack.
