Awards for 20 govt employees

Kathmandu, September 3:

The cabinet has decided to provide five government employees with Outstanding Civil Service Award and 15 with Civil Service Award as per the recommendation of a committee headed by the government’s Chief Secretary.

The decision was taken by the cabinet on August 31. The meeting also decided not to impose tax on awards. The awards would be handed over on the Civil Service Day on September 7.

The Outstanding Civil Service Award carries a purse of Rs 100,000 and certificate of appreciation.

Prakash Thapa, late engineer Nawaraj Bishta, Laxmi Bhusal, Birendra Kumar Mishra and Shovakanta Nepal have been selected for the award.

Likewise, the Civil Service Award carries a purse of Rs 50,000 and certificate of

appreciation.

Hum Prasad Adhikari, Narayan Prasad Dahal, Abha Shrestha, Prasad Luitel, Ram

Bahadur Kurungwang, Dil Bahadur Purja Pun, Baini Shrestha, Saroj Kumar Timilsina, Hari Krishna Bhuju, Anita Panta, Madhav Karki, Roy Yadav and Rambha Maya Bohara are among the government employees to get the award.
