Ayurveda Academy plan approved

The fourth national conference of Nepal Ayurveda Doctor’s Association concluded here yesterday by approving the proposal to establish the National Ayurveda Academy for the development of ayurveda medicine.

The association, since its establishment, has been putting up the demand for establishing the academy for research and specialised education in ayurveda medicine in the country which is rich in medicinal herbs and bio-diversity. During the meet, it was informed that the government has initiated the process for establishment of the academy by forming a task force under the convenorship of Dr Ram Brikshya Shaha, the chairman of Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council.
