Baitadi man arrested for uxoricide

BAITADI: A man was arrested on the charge of killing his wife from Dwarika Chok of Melauli-1 in the district, on Sunday.

The arrestee Bijay Nayak has been accused of murdering his wife Kamala.

Kamala was found dead hanging by a rope in her shop on Friday. Though it was reported that she committed a suicide, her parental family had refused to accept the report and lodged a complaint against Bijay for inducing physical violence and then brutally killing her, informed DSP Bala Narsingh Rana of the Baitadi District Police Office.

Kamala's family has already performed her final rites following an autopsy.

Police are investigating into the case to find Bijay's involvement in her death.

Meanwhile in Parbat, another man and his father were arrested on the murder charge of his wife on Sunday.

Husband, Dev Bahadur Nepali of Purna village Barrachaur-8, has been accused of killing Seti (45) under the suspicion of her illicit relationship with his father.

Parbat District Police Office Chief Shekhar Khanal informed that they have sent the body to Waling Primary Health Centre for an autopsy.

Police are investigating into the case.
