BAITADI: After a lightning damaged a transformer, residents of Raleshwor in Baitadi district have been living in darkness for the past one month.

Villagers said that they have complained about the problem to the concerned authorities time and again, but to no avail.

The absence of power has disrupted normal life in the village.

Locals have not been able to recharge their mobile phones, said local Narendra Bista.

The Raleshwor Health Post has not been able to keep the vaccines in refrigerators, Raleshwor Health Post in-charge, Depuram Rana said.

The power supply has been disrupted in more than five localities in the district, said Madhav Prasad Lekhak, officer at the Electriticy Authority, Baitadi.
