Gautam, Rawal slam NCP co-chairs’ joint document
Kathmandu, December 18
Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithivi Subba Gurung and Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel said they were ready to take any responsibility given by the party.
Secretariat member Bamdev Gautam presented a document stating ‘one man, one post’ formula and some other leaders supported that statement.
Gurung and Pokharel are In-charge of the party committees in their respective provinces. “We have not weakened our responsibility as we are chief ministers. The party had given us this responsibility and we are ready to take any responsibility which the party will give. We are part of the party,” a leader who attended today’s standing committee meeting quoted them as saying.
In the meeting, another standing committee member Bhim Rawal criticised the leadership of the government and party. “The leadership has been moving the party in arbitrary style and the rules and regulations of the party have been violated,” he said in his written statement in the meeting.
Rawal also said the recent Asia Pacific summit, co-hosted by the government with a controversial non governmental organisation had compromised the country’s dignity and self-respect.
Standing committee member Rawal also said the joint document presented by co-chairs KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal could not direct the country and the party.
Rawal supported issues raised by Gautam’s document. Rawal’s paper criticises every point in the Oli-Dahal joint document.
