NEPALGUNJ: Nepalgunj-based businessmen have been a terrorised lot since an unidentified gang kidnapped Gaurab Rastogi on Tuesday.

Whereabouts of Rastogi are still unknown. Pradip Kumar Gupta, chairman, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Nepalgunj chapter, said, "We are concerned about our security." Gupta, a drug wholesaler, said the cases of threat, robberies and donation drives by several criminal gangs had left them insecure.

Banke SP Mingma Lama said, "We are searching for Rastogi." A police team headed by DSP Ram Kumar Baidawar has been deployed to rescue the kidnapped businessman. Family sources said Rastogi was still out of contact.

Nepalgunj chapter of the FNCCI, in a press release, has sought the trader's release without any harm. The industrialists have also urged the government to manage security for them.
