BARA: Police have seized two illegal pistols from separate houses in Adarsh Kotwal Rural Municipality in the district on Monday.

The District Police Office under its campaign to control illegal firearms raided the houses and seized the weapons.

A pistol was recovered from a house belonging to Daya Shankar Paswan in ward-2 in the area while a long muzzle pistol was seized from the house of Shambhu Mandal in ward-5, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Ranjit Singh Rathore.

“There was no one in the house during raids and no arrests were made,” the DSP added, “Further investigation is underway.”
