Be alert, Yechuri tells people

Jhapa, April 30:

Politburo member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sita Ram Yechuri today said people should be alert because there could be conspiracies to annul the people’s rights obtained through public movements.

Talking to journalists at Bhadrapur airport, Yechuri said: “You people have the responsibility to build a modern Nepal. There could be a ploy to scotch the peoples’ rights. So, all of you have to be conscious and alert.” He arrived here today in course of heading to West Bengal state of India. At the airport, Jhapa-based leaders and activists of different parties welcomed him.

Welcoming Yechuri, Nepali Congress Jhapa president and coordinator of the joint people’s movement committee Sudhir Newakoti said: “We thank the Indian people, the Indian government, and Indian political leaders for supporting the democratic movement in Nepal.”
