Be prepared for disaster, says CM Poudel

Hetauda, April 18

Chief Minister Dormani Poudel of Province 3 today urged all to be prepared for disaster.

Speaking at an interaction organised by the Ministry for Internal Affairs and Law in Hetauda today, Poudel said  disaster would not come with signals. He said it could occur any time and place. “Therefore, governments of all three levels must be ready for rescue and relief operations,” he added. “Many people took advantage in the aftermath of the disaster. This tendency has to be discouraged,” Poudel said. He urged all the departments to move ahead with proper plans and cooperate during the time of disaster.

Poudel said local levels had to be more responsible in times of disaster. “The local levels need to be made more responsible and the interaction should be result-oriented in all the sectors,” he said.

Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Shalikram Jamkattel of Province 3 said that security departments had to be well-prepared as disaster might occur at any time.
