BHOJPUR: Power supply has been obstructed to most parts of Bhojpur district from Sunday afternoon due to a storm accompanied by rain.

The power supply through the 33-kv national transmission line was obstructed since yesterday, according to the Nepal Electricity Authority, Bhojpur.

Bhojpur is connected to the national transmission line in Hile of Dhankuta and electrical wires between Hile and Bhojpur snapped in the storm, according to the NEA.

Technicians have been deployed to spot the location from where the problem has occurred, said Chief of Nepal Electricity Authority Bhojpur Distribution Centre, Khagendra Bhandari.

Different government offices in the district, meanwhile, have claimed that they are having problems to continue with their daily functioning due to the obstruction.
