BHOJPUR: Police have arrested a health worker for attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl in Bhojpur District in Province 1.

A health worker at Homeopathic Pharmacy in Bhojpur Municipality-12, Shankar Shah, was nabbed after he attempted rape on a local girl who had visited the pharmacy seeking treatment.

The accused had tried to rape the girl after manipulating her to enter the store room in the pharmacy, Police Inspector Charitra Bikram Karki said.

The victim’s parents called the police on Shah after she told her parents about the incident.

According to District Police Office, Bhojpur, investigations into the case are underway.
