BHOJPUR: A man died after he was hit by the projectile of a firearm in Aamchok Rural Municipality-7 of Bhojpur district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Dhan Bahadur Rai (60) of Aamchok Rural Municipality-8 in the district.

Dhan Bahadur Rai and Harka Bahadur Rai had gone on a hunting trip when Dhan Bahadur was accidentally struck by the projectile of a muzzle loader gun bullet, which Harka Bahadur had fired at a wild animal yesterday, killing him on the spot, according to Baalkhale-based Police Post.

District Police Office, Bhojpur have detained Harka Bahadur and confiscated the fire arm for further investigation, said police.
