'Big Three conspiring against Madhes'
SARLAHI: Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum chairman Upendra Yadav today said the three major political parties were conspiring to turn Madhes into a colony and to enslave the people there.
Speaking at a press meet, organised by Journalism Development Foundation in Malangwa, Yadav accused that the Constituent Assembly had divided the Tarai-Madhes into three pieces in the name of state restructuring. He said, "There must be an autonomous Madhes state with the right to self-determination," adding, "We are watching the conspiracies being hatched by the "State Restructuring Committee" under the guidance of the three major political parties.'' He also demanded that a "State Restructuring Commission" be formed instead of the State Restructuring Committee.
Expressing disagreement over the 14 states proposed by the State Restructuring Committee, Yadav said Triyuga Kamala Khoch of Udayapur, Deukhuri, Ghorahi, Tulsipur valley, Chitwan, the western part of Nawalpur, Kakrebihar of Surkhet and Latikoili should come under a Madhes state. Area from Jhapa to Kanchanpur and that west of Chure range must be included in the state, he added.
Yadav warned that MJF would continue protests to force the government to implement the agreements reached with the party earlier.
