Bijukchhe blames parties for Tarai stir

Rupandehi, July 1:

Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party chairperson Narayanman Bijukchhe today said Tarai agitation took place because local bodies were not revived on time.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Lumbini chapter of Reporters’ Club here, Bijukchhe said, “The Madhes agitation occurred as the local bodies were not revived on time and there is the possibility of the Tarai breaking away. The major parties have to take the responsibility for the mistakes that led to the agitation.”

As Tarai-based leaders were not given responsibility, Madhesi people launched the agitation, he said.
