BHOJPUR: An Assistant Sub-Inspector was critically injured when a motorbike knocked him down in Dharan of Sunsari district along the Koshi Highway on Tuesday.

The injured has been identified as Khem Hari Timsina of Tinkune Police Beat.

The incident occurred when the two-wheeler (Ko 3 Pa 9653) heading towards Dharan from Itahari hit Timsina yesterday night.

Timsina, who sustained deep cut on his head, is undergoing treatmeant at the BP Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences.

Police have impounded the bike and arrested its rider for investigation, the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, informed.
