Biplav-led CPN Dhading secretary arrested

DHADINGBESI: Police have arrested a cadre of Netra-Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) from Piplamode in Dhunibesi Municipality-9 of Dhading district, on Tuesday.

According to District Police Office, Dhading, Biplav-led CPN party district secretary Buddha Gurung Ghale was arrested from Piplamode along Tribhuvan Rajpath this morning.

Subsequently, police made him public at the DPO today itself.

It has been learnt that the cadre of the banned outfit was heading to Kathmandu via Naubesi. He is detained at the DPO, police said.

Police have charged Gale under the Explosives Act, 2018 for his involvement in planting explosives devices at public places in Siddhalake Rural Municipality on June 25 and setting ablaze Ncell towers on July 31, DPO Chief and DSP Raj Kumar Baidwar said.

Meanwhile, an investigation is underway, police said.
