Biratnagar mayor crawls to Chhath venue for city’s prosperity, peace
BIRATNAGAR: Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Bhim Parajuli, is on a fast today on the occasion of Chhath festival for town's prosperity, development and peace.
He has headed towards the river bank where Chhath festival is celebrated for performing the Chhath rituals after worshipping Shiva Panchayan temple at Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3.
Parajuli will offer Argha to the setting Sun after reaching the river bank, crawling on his elbows, situated at a distance of 3.5 kilometres from where he begun the ritual.
