KATHMANDU: Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato said that the Birgunj border should be opened immediately.

While talking to mediapersons in Biratnagar on Thursday morning, Mahato informed that he had already urged other leaders of the United Democratic Madhesi Front to open the Birgunj border as the Madhesi people had been facing difficult time due to the blockade.

"Other border points have already been opened," he said. "Why should we be block the Birgunj border?"

Stating that the government was not serious over addressing the demands of the Front, the Sadbhawana Party Chairman said that the blockade at the Birgunj border point has also not pressurised the government.

"If the UDMF wants to continue the blockade, the four other border points should also be obstructed," he said.
