Bara, May 6:

An unidentified gang detonated a socket bomb on the premises of Bara District Development Committee Office this afternoon.

The District Police Office said the border security office of Armed Police Force is situated in the DDC building.

Bara coordinator Naya Birat Avatar of the Akhil Tarai Mukti Morcha led by Jaya Krishna Goit has owned up the explosion over phone this afternoon. Meanwhile, the police have arrested Rohit Prasad Yadav of Bara Khopawa-1, Dharmendra Tiwari of Telkuwa-7 and Kamal Aryal of Nijgarh-9 for necessary investigation.
