Blue bull calf rescued in Jhapa
KAKARBHITTA: A calf of antelope was found caught in the thicket of a tea garden in Aathmauja area of Khajurgachi-5 in Jhapa district on Monday.
Locals informed police after they found the young antelope entangled in the layers of twigs.
A team deployed from the Area Police Office and the Armed Police Force with the help of locals jointly rescued the calf.
The Area Forest Office in Beldandi identified the young antelope as the calf of blue bull.
Assistant Forest Official Parshuram Thakur claimed that the bull was heading south towards a marshland located at Jamunakhadi.
