Bodies of two teenagers swept away by Kamala River found

LAHAN: The bodies of two teenage boys who drowned in the Kamala River were found on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Manjay Mahara (15) and Rahul Raut (14), both the residents of Golbazaar Municipality-4 in Siraha district.

A joint team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army had recovered the bodies from different areas of the river. The body of Mahara was recovered from the river near Jayanagar in the Indian territory while the body of Raut was recovered from Karjanha Municipality-7, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhav Raj Kharel.

The body of Krishna Mahato (14) of Tulsipur area in Aurahi Rural Municipality was recovered on Sunday.

The group of four teenagers were swept away by the Kamala River while they were fetching sacred water to offer to the Shiva Temple in Golbazaar. One of the teenagers was immediately rescued by the locals.
