RAUTAHAT: A police constable received minor injuries in a bomb explosion at Mathiya Police Post located at Ishanath Municipality, Rautahat, on Tuesday. The injured has been identified as Constable Ranjit Yadav.

He was at the sentry post. Two Indian youths riding a motorbike with Indian number plate had thrown the bomb at the sentry post, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Nabin Karki. Police have arrested Indian national Chandan Kumar. Police have also seized the motorbike used by Kumar.

Police have initiated a manhunt to nab the absconding youth and launched an investigation into the incident, said DSP Karki.
